Founded in 1966, the club today comprise of a mixture of English speaking rugby players from various nations, including England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France, Argentina, Sri-Lanka, Republic South Africa, Japan, and a number of German speaking players.

It plays in the northern German league and field one senior side. It regularly undertakes tours and in the past the members have been to Prague, Copenhagen, Italy, Vienna and several other European destinations.

The Club regularly organises an International Seven-a-Side Tournament in the Hamburg Stadtpark, including teams from the British Army in Germany, the UK, Scandinavia and local German sides. The members come from a wide range of backgrounds including bankers, traders, labourers and top level executives from multi-national firms.
